Scott Fishman, Founder and CEO
Scott has over 30 years’ experience in healthcare marketing research and commercial analysis. As CEO of Research by Design, a firm he started in 1989, Scott directed the evolution of the company from a bedroom startup to one of the most successful and prominent firms in the healthcare research industry. Under Scott’s guidance, RBD became a key consulting resource for virtually every major pharmaceutical company, as well as a wide range of biotechnology and medical device manufacturers and healthcare advertising agencies.
Following the sale of his firm to a global holding company in 2006, Scott founded Ethos LifeScience Advisors, the parent to Envisage Solutions. Scott also co-developed, launched and serves as consulting Program Executive for the Commercialization Acceleration Program (CAP) at the Wharton Small Business Development Center. CAP provides due diligence to Technology Transfer Offices, Incubators and VCs to support commercial development of intellectual property.
Scott is a professor in Marketing, Management and Strategic Planning the MBA program at Philadelphia University, holds a Master’s degree in Advertising and Marketing from the University of Texas, and an undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
Scott Dessain, M.D. Ph.D., Senior Medical Consultant
Scott Dessain is a co-founder and Chief Technical Officer of Immunome, Inc. a cancer immunotherapy company, an Associate Professor at the Lankenau Institute for Medical Research, and a attending medical oncologist at the Lankenau Medical Center. He is an expert in bone marrow transplantation and malignant hematology, and has devised novel techniques to efficiently clone native human antibodies.
He has contributed to dozens of published scientific articles and multiple patents. He is on the speaker’s bureau for Roche/Genentech, the premier biotechnology company, lecturing on lung cancer, biomarkers, and cancer immunotherapy.
Scott holds MD and PhD degrees from Yale University and did his post-graduate medical training in Internal Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, followed by a fellowship in Medical Oncology at Dana Farber/Partners Cancer Care in Boston, and post-doctoral training at the Whitehead Institute in Cambridge.
David Zuzga, Ph.D., Senior Consultant
David is an entrepreneur and research scientist with expertise in genetics, cell and molecular biology. He co-founded and serves as CEO of BioDetego, LLC, an early stage cancer diagnostics company, and is an Assistant Professor at La Salle University, where his research focuses on cytoskeletal dynamics underlying fundamental cellular and pathologic processes such as cancer metastasis and host-pathogen interactions.
David received his bachelor’s degree in Biopsychology from Vassar College and his Ph.D. from the Kimmel Cancer Center at Thomas Jefferson University. He has worked at the Harvard Medical School and at the former CNS Gene Therapy Center at Thomas Jefferson where he co-developed a Parkinson Disease gene therapy and a novel nootropic drug, both of which were licensed for development.
David's experience spans from the laboratory bench to the Board room, allowing him to translate scientific and technical concepts into business strategy. He provides accessible scientific and technical input on value-building services including, competitive analysis, clinical development planning including feasibility and clinical study design, market analysis, and regulatory and reimbursement strategic planning.
